Serendipity

Gold-lined kisses, leaving a trail of sin

Your skin burns where I touch

Vibrant and effervescent

Hot breath on cool skin

Cool breeze across the waves

Chiffon curtains twirl as the sea breathes its life over us

The coolness of the air tickles our skin

We waste no time, devouring each other’s spirit

Consumption.

You declare that my nectar is lifegiving

Heady, bewitching…

Seductive.

Out of my mind, and into yours

Your façade blurs

The roses I leave behind have taken root

In your lighthouse

Your tower of solitude that you have shared only with me

Secrets and silence

Your tower is marked by my simple presence

You can’t hide from me; I plant my seeds in you.

You want to be lost in the lights,

Where all is glitter and hope

But when I connect my thoughts with yours

I put a crack in your façade,

Now roses bloom.

The lights shine brightly as we watch from above

The ocean bares its secrets to us by cover of moonlight

You tend to my roses, and plant a tree in me

Heart take root

Breathy, magnificent.

The magic of us is transformative.

I put a crack in your façade

Now roses bloom; their intoxicating scent drives you

Vibrant, colourful…

Aromatic.
